What is Market Mood Index (MMI)?
The Market Mood Index (MMI) is a fear and greed gauge for the Indian stock market on a scale of 0 to 100: readings below 30 mean extreme fear, 30 to 50 fear, 50 to 70 greed and 70 and above extreme greed.

How do traders read the MMI?
Extreme fear (below 30) often comes when markets are oversold and can be a time to look for fresh positions. Extreme greed (70 and above) often comes when markets are overbought and can be a time to avoid new longs.
The direction matters too: MMI rising out of extreme fear reads differently from MMI falling from greed toward fear.
