What is AOC Calculator?
AOC Calculator (Advance Option Chain) is an option chain analysis tool for NSE, BSE, MCX and crypto markets that shows option chains with open interest, OI change, volume, implied volatility, Greeks, PCR and support and resistance levels on one screen.
It was started in February 2023 by Raj Shah and is available on the web, Android and iOS.
Is AOC Calculator free?
AOC is free for learning and the Back Tester is free; live data and advanced stock screeners are available with an AOC Pro subscription.
The public symbol pages, the Market Mood Index, the options glossary and this FAQ are also free.
Public symbol pages such as /optionchain/nifty show a summary delayed by 15 minutes: PCR, max pain and the strikes with the highest call and put open interest. Current plans and prices are on the Pricing page.
Which symbols does AOC cover?
AOC covers the index options NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY and SENSEX, plus the stocks in the NSE F&O segment. It also covers MCX commodities and the crypto symbols BTC and ETH.
Use the symbol search on the option chain screen to switch between them.
How often does the live option chain update?
For AOC Pro users the option chain updates automatically during market hours (09:15 to 15:30 IST, Monday to Friday) as soon as a new snapshot is published, without refreshing the page.
Data is streamed over a live connection. If that connection drops or goes quiet, the app reconnects automatically and picks up the latest snapshot.
What do the red, green and yellow highlights in the option chain mean?
Red marks the highest value on the call (CE) side, green marks the highest value on the put (PE) side, and yellow marks the second highest on either side.
Cells at or above the highlight percentage of the maximum (75% by default, adjustable in settings) get a lighter yellow. Highlights apply to OI, OI change and volume.
How does AOC show support and resistance?
The chain header shows a resistance level (CE R) and a support level (PE S) that AOC's server computes from open-interest data for the current expiry.
As a rule of thumb, the strike with the highest call open interest acts as resistance and the strike with the highest put open interest acts as support. The chart panel also draws the nearest support and resistance lines around the current price.
What does the colour of the spot price bar mean?
The spot price bar is green when the overall put-call ratio (PCR) is above 1.2, red when it is below 0.8, and blue in between.
The bar sits between the two strikes that bracket the current spot price and also shows the future price and the future-spot difference.
What is the Market Mood Index on the home page?
The Market Mood Index (MMI) is a 0 to 100 sentiment gauge: below 30 is Extreme Fear, 30 to 50 is Fear, 50 to 70 is Greed and 70 or above is Extreme Greed.
Very low readings suggest the market may be oversold and very high readings suggest it may be overbought. It is a sentiment indicator, not a trading signal.
How can I pay for AOC Pro?
You can pay for AOC Pro on the website through Razorpay or PhonePe, which accept UPI, cards and net banking.
Payments are collected only on aoccalculator.in and in the official Android and iOS apps. If anyone else asks you to pay for AOC, contact support.
Does the AOC Pro subscription renew automatically?
No, AOC does not auto-renew any plan; your subscription simply expires at the end of the period you paid for.
You keep full access to all subscribed features until the expiry date, and you can renew manually whenever you choose.
Can I cancel my AOC Pro plan?
No, a plan cannot be cancelled once it is activated.
There is no auto-renewal, so the plan simply expires at the end of the period you paid for and you keep full access until then.
What happens if my payment fails?
Any amount debited for a failed payment is automatically credited back to your account within 4-5 working days.
If it has not arrived after that, please contact your bank for help.
Can I get a refund?
No, payments for AOC services are final and non-refundable, except for genuine duplicate payments, service failures caused by system errors, and unauthorised transactions.
Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 14 business days. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.
Is AOC Calculator investment advice?
No, AOC Calculator is a market analysis tool and not a registered investment adviser, broker or financial institution.
All data and analysis are for education and research. Options trading carries substantial risk, and every trading decision is your own responsibility.
